My Journey Speaking at the Beauty Expo

Over 10 years ago, I walked into my first Beauty Expo in Sydney, in awe of it all, whispering to myself: imagine speaking on that stage one day.

Last year I put it on my vision board. This year I got the call. I was in. A full-circle, pinch-me moment where every cell said: this is what I was born for.

And I loved every second. Yes, I was proud for me, but more than that I was lit up for the women in that room because I knew this was the message they needed.

From Salon Floor to Spotlight

I started out doubting myself, even walking away from a degree in business and finance because it drained my soul and left me anxious. What I really wanted was beauty  even though people told me not to.

But I built my salon from scratch, with grit, setbacks, and nights where Ronan’s wage covered the rent. There were plenty of “FUCK THIS I’m done” moments, but every treatment, every client, every healing led me here  to that stage.

My talk: “Unblocking Your Energy: How Your Mindset and Limitations Are Stopping Your Business Growth.”

I spoke about people-pleasing, stress, fear, and playing small. I didn’t sugarcoat it. I spoke truth with love and I felt the room shift. Women leaning in. Tears falling. Those “she’s talking about me” moments everywhere.

Afterwards, women hugged me, cried with me, and shared their breakthroughs:

• “I didn’t realise how much I’ve been holding myself back.”

• “I felt the shift in my body.”

• “It’s not my clients, it’s me. I see it now.”

That’s what matters. Not the applause, not the spotlight — the ripple. The impact. The activation.

This is Just the Beginning

Speaking at the Beauty Expo showed me this: when you own your story, you create space for others to own theirs.

I’ve come a long way from that anxious girl afraid to be seen.

And this? This is just the beginning.

Because when you shift your energy, everything else shifts too.

If you are doubting yourself I am here to tell you, you can do anything you put your mind to, when you work through, your mindset, your energy, frequency and healing.
